A pirate who had hidden his treasure became marooned on the habitable asteroid Regretter's Rock by 3643 BBY.
Around that year, an individual associated with one of the two opposing governments in the ongoing Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire sent a companion of theirs to Regretter's Rock, where countless spacers had been marooned over the centuries, to investigate what else might have been left there. The companion encountered the haggard pirate, who agreed to lead them to his treasure in exchange for passage off Regretter's Rock.
