Unidentified senator (Unzel)

A senator represented Unzel, their homeworld in the Mid Rim, in the Imperial Senate during the reign of the Galactic Empire. By 3 BBY, the senator began working with Bail and Breha Organa—two members of the Core Worlds planet Alderaan's royal family—to fund a resistance movement against the Empire.

That year, the Alderaanian Princess Leia Organa looked into Alderaan's royal ledgers, discovering the Unzel native's involvement in funneling money in and out of her homeworld's accounts under the label "Spaceport Development." Organa surmised that the senator must be assisting her parents' anti-Imperial activities, knowing that her homeworld was not preparing to build another spaceport anytime soon.
