Unidentified Trade Federation delegate

Canon Linked from 3 articles

A delegate represented the Trade Federation in the Galactic Republic's Galactic Senate during the Republic Era. In 28 BBY, Ithorians sought to make the map to a hyperspace route running through Lesser Plooriod Cluster public in a motion within the Galactic Senate, as they had used the route for a long time and mapped most of it.

Supreme Chancellor Palpatine opened the Senate floor for debate and allowed a human senator from the Urce sector and the delegate to argue with the Ithorian senator proposing the initiative. While the human senator claimed the route for the Urce sector due to the portion intersecting its territory, the delegate argued that the Trade Federation had mapped the route. Senator Padmé Amidala voted in favor of the motion, musing that the Urce sector's inhabitants only held a claim to part of the route, while the Ithorians had been using the route long before the Trade Federation had separately mapped it. However, the motion ultimately failed.
