A human member of the Yasaburō clan was a native of the planet Tao. Hundreds of years before the Imperial Era, they met a Jedi, who entrusted his lightsaber to the clan member and trained them to use it. The lightsaber and the Jedi's teachings were passed down through the clan for generations, and between 12 BBY and 1 BBY, the clan leader Yasaburō gave the lightsaber to his daughter Lop.
