Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

The mother of the Sith Varner Hilts was a Force-sensitive Human female member of the Lost Tribe of Sith on the planet Kesh. She married a man of the Hilts family, and with him, she gave birth to Varner in 3060 BBY. Sometime prior to 3000 BBY, her husband died after an accident in which his weapon fell from his sheath and stabbed him. Just one week after his death, the widow planned to seduce the same Sith her husband had planned to assassinate with his shikkar. She sneaked into the Sith's chamber concealed in an urn, but the urn's lid failed to open. Unbeknownst to her, her target was actually out of town for one month, so she died in the urn.
