Volkan was a female nurse in the Tabor Hospital on Protobranch. When a solar storm caused the antigrav platforms of the planet to collapse, Nurse Volkan was in charge of a group of younglings. She went to find help, leaving the younglings alone, but they were eventually rescued by Doctor Pira, with the help of the Jedi Padawans Dooku and Sifo-Dyas.
