Yanus was a major in the Imperial Military of the reconstituted Sith Empire who commanded the Toxi-Trooper Brigade, a unit that specialized in operating in hostile-environment battlefronts such as the toxic planet Quesh. Yanus sent a personalized transfer offer to Ensign Raina Temple, who had been flagged as hostile-environment capable after serving on Hoth, but Temple turned the offer down.
