Zef Ando was a male Rodian moisture farmer who lived on Tatooine during the Galactic Civil War After the Battle of Yavin, he lived as a squatter in the Lars homestead In 1 ABY, he purchased some reconditioned droids off some Jawas who visited the farm with their sandcrawler. However, the droids malfunctioned, attacked him and planted a bomb on a moisture vaporator. In the meantime, spacers working for Imperial Commander Barrezz as well as Rebel Captain Bastra arrived at the farm since they were both looking for the Jawas. Zef Ando recruited the help of a spacer to stop the droids and disarm the bomb.
