Alsakan Conflicts

The Alsakan Conflicts were a series of conflicts that saw the first deployment of capital ships that matched the scale of those used in the later Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War. This "dreadnought era" ended with the development of cutting-edge turbolasers that could tear apart ray shields, therefore rendering large warships obsolete. The conflicts shared their name with Alsakan, an astronomical object located in the Core Worlds.
