In 19 BBY, forces of the 501st Legion, led by Darth Vader, were ambushed on the Atoan crystal planet, in the Ghost Nebula, by Atoan rebels. Lady Saro and former Admiral Garoche Tarkin were eventually killed by Vader in an attempted suicide.
