Annexation of Onderon
Canon Linked from 3 articles
After the Clone Wars and Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine's proclamation of the New Order, the Galactic Empire annexed the planet Onderon. However, the Onderon rebels led by Saw Gerrera refused to bow to the new Galactic Emperor as the transformation of the Galactic Republic into the Empire was seen as a betrayal of their ideals. After the annexation and his refusal to join the Empire, Gerrera became a popular leader in a rebellion which attempted to repulse the offworlders.
