During the Separatist War on Ord Mantell, the Galactic Republic military storage outpost Mannett Point was taken by the Mantellian Separatist Movement. In the middle of the night, separatists destroyed the bridge connecting the small island to the larger island of Avilatan, and then overran the Republic defenders and took complete control of Mannett Point by dawn.
