During the Cold War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, a young Jedi Knight attacked the hideout of the Sith Lord Nefarid in order to stop the Sith from massacring innocents with the stolen Death Mark laser superweapon. After witnessing the death of the Jedi's former teacher Orgus Din at the hands of Nefarid's master Darth Angral, the Knight defeated Nefarid in battle and used the Death Mark laser to target and destroy the weapon's own targeting computer.
