During the Great Galactic War between the reconstituted Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, a twenty-eight-year conflict spanning from 3681 BBY to 3653 BBY, the Empire attacked the planet Loronar with a significant military force. However, the Republic troops under the command of Colonel Aves were able to maintain control of valuable locations on the planet, and as a result the Republic Military was able to eventually drive the Empire off of Loronar permanently.
