Around 3638 BBY, during the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, the Republic breached the Stygian Caldera and attacked the Kalsunor system, a star system in the nebula near the Empire's capital of Dromund Kaas. The Republic's forces captured the star system, achieving a victory deep in Imperial territory.
