A battle occurred in the Stenos system during the Mandalorian Wars, in either 3961 or 3960 BBY. The Jedi Knight Revan and the Revanchists lead the Galactic Republic forces in a counter-offensive against the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. This brought them through the Vorzyd system, where they defeated the Mandalorians, to the Stenos system, where they were also victorious. From Elom, they attacked the Elom system.
