During the Great Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire that lasted between 3681 BBY and 3653 BBY, a battle occurred on Velmor, a resource-rich planet in the Mid Rim. General Korvan of the Republic Military commanded the Republic forces in a ground battle for control of the planet.
