Around 27 BBY, the Chiss Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn," severely beat the Vagaari pirates during his last confrontation with the Vagaari, ending his Vagaari pirate operations. In 18 BBY, the Chiss Mid Captain Ufsa'mak'ro "Samakro" read the records of the confrontation and noticed that they were incomplete, speculating that the documents had been deliberately edited.
