The Corellian Treaty was a declaration by various rebel cells that rallied into the Alliance to Restore the Republic which had been drafted as a codification of common ideals and goals for an organized rebellion under one command structure against the Galactic Empire. It was considered to be the official beginning of the Galactic Civil War.
Though the signing to create the treaty was arranged by Galen Marek, this was part of a deception by his former master, Darth Vader, who raided the meeting with stormtrooper and captured the three senators as part of a Sith plot to eliminate the growing rebellion before it could become a threat.
