Destruction of the Hall of Assembly

Canon Linked from 2 articles

In 40 BBY, the Hall of Assembly building on the Inner Rim planet Pijal was destroyed with nanotech by Pijali blackguards secretly working for the Pijali Princess Fanry and the royal guard captain Deren, as the princess hoped to prevent the Governance Treaty initiative's signing by sowing unrest in the Pijal system. Afterward, the structure's security cameras showed how its mirrors had been dissolved during the strike. Deren kept a copy of the holographic recording of the incident, which he later provided to Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, for their investigation into the unrest within the Pijal system. Though the Opposition performance troupe was initially blamed for the incident, the group's name was cleared after Fanry's violent crowning—in which she attempted to seize power—failed.
