This duel took place circa 3997 BBY, just before the Great Sith War. Jedi Padawans Jolee Bindo and Nayama, husband and wife as well as teacher and apprentice, were divided when Nayama wanted to abandon the Jedi Order and join Exar Kun's Brotherhood of the Sith. Bindo refused and Nayama attacked him. Bindo was victorious, but could not bring himself to kill Nayama, and she fled.
