The Evacuation of Rhen Var took place in the first month of the Clone Wars. It was a crushing defeat for the Galactic Republic, despite the fact that the planet was believed unimportant to Republic forces at the time. It was only later that the Jedi High Council realized that capturing Rhen Var was the first step in the Dark Reaper crisis.
