An edition of the Great Hunt was held around 3660 BBY, during the Great Galactic War. The Hunt was instigated by Mandalore the Lesser to inspire and unite the Mandalorians following their humiliating defeat during the Blockade of the Hydian Way. The competition ended with the victory of Artus Lok, who promptly challenged the current Mandalore to a duel. Artus killed Mandalore the Lesser and claimed the title as Mandalore the Vindicated.
