Great Sith Wars
Canon Legends version → Linked from 9 articles
The Great Sith Wars were a series of conflicts between the Jedi and the Sith that lasted many centuries, starting between circa 5000 BBY and 4000 BBY. The Great Hyperspace War was said to have begun around the same time as well: circa 5000 BBY.
A frieze depicting a battle from the Great Sith Wars had adorned the chambers of a Sith Emperor during or after around 4000 BBY. The bas-relief later came under the possession of Sheev Palpatine after an archaeological dig on the moon Yavin 4.
