Hostage negotiation on Ferrix

In 228 BBY, during the High Republic Era, Jedi Master Kantam Sy of the Jedi Order was involved in a hostage negotiation on Ferrix. The incident—taking place on the Outer Rim planet Ferrix—left Sy unable to join a delegation of Jedi Masters in traveling across the Nihil pirates' Stormwall hyperspace barrier into the Occlusion Zone region of space to attend the wedding of their former Jedi Padawan Lula Talisola to the Mikkian Zeen Mrala on the Outer Rim planet Eriadu.

After arriving as part of the delegation, Jedi Master Yaddle was asked by Talisola if Sy had accompanied them. Yaddle sadly reported Sy's involvement in the negotiation, stating they had wanted to attend. A short while later, after work to make it happen, Sy arrived on Eriadu for the wedding. Talisola was surprised by Sy's appearance and hugged and thanked them for coming, stating she thought they were unable to attend, to which Sy responded they could not miss the wedding.
