In 3956 BBY a series of rebellions took place on the fringe of the Sith Empire's territory. Lord Scourge was sent to help end the rebellion, shortly after graduating the Sith Academy on Dromund Kaas. Scourge managed to end the rebellions through his pursuit of the rebel leaders and his martial skills. Two years later Scourge returned to Dromund Kass to help solve the assassination attempts on Dark Councilor Darth Nyriss' life.
