Kidnapping of Avon Starros

By 235 BBY, the girl Avon Starros was kidnapped by a local group after she snuck out of the family's compound on the Core Worlds planet Hosnian Prime. The group kidnapped Avon as they wanted her mother—the Galactic Republic junior senator Ghirra Starros—to agitate for stronger trade controls in the Galactic Senate. While she was held by the group, its members forced Avon to speak into a holorecorder so they could demand a ransom.

Eventually, the girl was found by her uncles, who killed the kidnappers. Following the event, Avon visited an emotional-support droid, and her mother became overprotective of her, forcing Avon to accompany her everywhere she went until she eventually sent Avon to the outpost Port Haileap on the Outer Rim planet Haileap. In 232 BBY, Avon told the Dalnan boy Honesty Weft about the incident while they were stranded on the Outer Rim moon Wevo.
