During their enslavement by the Hutt species, the Langoonan species native to the planet Langoona, in a system of the same name deep in Hutt Space, unsuccessfully rebelled against their masters. Prior to the rebellion the Langoonans had been considered a favored slave species by the Hutts, but after their defeat they were stripped of technology and driven to the brink of extinction. The small population that did survive was maintained by the Hutts for use in safaris.
