The Malarian Alliance was a treaty signed by representatives from four planets. Planets that signed the treaty included Ansionians and the Malarians, in the decades prior to the Clone Wars.
The Alliance joined the worlds together in both commerce and defense. During the Separatist Crisis, Shu Mai attempted to force Ansion to secede from the Galactic Republic—hoping that the other worlds, bound by their respective treaties, would follow suit, and thus add more planets and systems to the Separatist cause.
