In 0 ABY, the High Command of the Alliance to Restore the Republic tasked one of its sub-groups, Reekeene's Roughnecks, to send diplomats to the planet Abonshee. Their goal would be to contact with the locals, the Anointed People, in the name of the Alliance, and obtain new sources of food. The Roughnecks sent the Green squad, ferried in the Long Shot.
The discussions were finally interrupted when the damaged Imperial shuttle Resurgence landed on the planet. As stormtroopers attacked local civilians, the Godking of the Anointed People Trisstan had its people join the Alliance.
