During the Clone Wars, Jedi Grand Master Yoda carried out a mission to Korriban, the Sith homeworld—also known as Moraband—as part of his journey to learn the secrets to manifesting his consciousness after death. There, he encountered the spirit of Darth Bane and a vision of Sifo-Dyas. He also encountered a vision created by Darth Sidious, who attempted to destroy the Jedi Master. Yoda completed his trials and began training to learn the secrets from the spirit of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn.
