The Raxus Address was a speech given by the former Jedi Count Dooku in 24 BBY that was credited with essentially setting the stage for the Separatist Movement. Dooku commandeered a HoloNet relay station in the Raxus system and denounced the Galactic Republic as a futile enterprise that was hopelessly burdened by corruption and favoritism toward the Core Worlds. Announcing its creation during the address, Dooku founded the Confederacy of Independent Systems after finishing his speech. The ensuing Separatist Crisis would eventually lead to the Clone Wars.
