In 3964 BBY, during the Mandalorian Wars, a battle occurred at the Outer Rim world of Suurja between the Galactic Republic and the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. As the Mandalorians continued their push toward the Core, Republic Navy Captain Saul Karath attempted to stop their advance at the Jebble-Vanquo-Tarnith line, where Suurja was located. A previous clash at Suurja a short time before was inconclusive—in a similar fashion, this battle also ended without a clear victor.
