Siege on Tureen VII

Sometime after the Battle of Yavin, the Galactic Empire learned that the people of Tureen VII were secretly providing aid to the Alliance to Restore the Republic. In response the Empire launched a siege on Tureen VII by setting up the blockade of Tureen VII around the planet, and established bases on the planet's twin moons. The Rebel Alliance attempted to break through the Imperial blockade three times but were unsuccessful.

Relief eventually reached Tureen VII thanks to a rebel team led by Captains Leia Organa and Han Solo. With the siege broken and Imperial bases destroyed, the rebels escaped, with the exception of protocol droid C-3PO. C-3PO remained in Imperial captivity until his astromech droid friend, R2-D2, rescued him sometime later.
