A succession crisis on Chandrila erupted sometime between around 32 BBY and 19 BBY, rocking the Core Worlds planet Chandrila during the Republic Era. The event occurred during the early career of Chandrilan Galactic Republic Senator Mon Mothma, who had been on a visit to the planet Eyo-Dajuritz—by then a fossilized ecumenopolis—as part of a goodwill tour promoting Republic historical sites. Mothma was forced to cut short her visit to see to the crisis, and regretted having to leave to deal with the crisis on her homeworld. In 19 BBY, she recalled the crisis upon learning of a large-scale attack on Eyo-Dajuritz.
