The Vulpter Orbital was an annual race held by the Vulptereen population of the planet Vulpter to provide some diversion from their otherwise rough lives. Each year, contestants raced through the orbital advertisement field until one racer crossed the finish line or all the other racers were eliminated. During the Galactic Civil War, one of the contestants in the race was a talented pilot and Rebel contact named Lon Wert.
