The wedding of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala took place at the Varykino Villa on the planet Naboo in 22 BBY. The two first met ten years prior on the planet Tatooine, at the time Skywalker had been an enslaved nine-year-old and Amidala was fourteen-years-old and serving as the Queen of Naboo. Having escaped the invasion of her homeworld, Amidala was disguised as one of the queen's handmaidens.
