The Adumar system was a star system located in Wild Space that contained Adumar. Prior to the Battle of Jakku, an Abednedo named Awls Ooteek told Brentin Lore Wexley that the rebels had intercepted an Imperial transmission from a far-off system about a laboratory or a hidden facility, which they sent scouts to find but nothing ever came of it.
