Canon Legends version → Linked from 5 articles
The Altyr system was a star system located in the Morshdine sector of the Outer Rim Territories and New Territories. It fell within grid square O-5 of the Standard Galactic Grid and shared its name with the Altyr 5 Light Freighter Race. In 3 ABY, as part of the Galactic Civil War, the Imperial Navy destroyed a capital ship belonging to the Alliance to Restore the Republic in the system. Commander Folimar called the battle a "reminder of the Empire's superior force compared to the rebels," which was quoted in coverage of the battle by reporter Dorna Parros on the HoloNet News.
