Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.
The Asher system was located in the Sprizen sector, a part of the New Territories portion of the Outer Rim Territories. It contained the terrestrial astronomical object Asher III.
During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance maintained a cell on Asher III. Shortly before the Battle of Hoth of 3 ABY, the Galactic Empire tracked down the Asher III cell and moved to destroy the Rebel presence there, eliminating most of it. The Rodian arms dealer Lernik De'Yago, who was on the celestial body at the time, stole the Rebel starship Nova Whisper and used it to escape Asher III.
