The Caldoni system was located in the Core Worlds. At some point by 43 BBY, an outbreak of the lethal Tendor Virus took place throughout the entire system, affecting millions of people. Eventually, the human scientist Jenna Zan Arbor developed a vaccine that cured the Caldoni system's population. In 43 BBY, while conversing with the captured Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn, Zan Arbor recalled the outbreak in the Caldoni system, claiming that she did not receive a sufficient reward for her accomplishments at the time.
