Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.
The Calonica system was situated in the Vensensor sector of the Western Reaches portion of the Expansion Region. It lay on the super-hyperroute known as the Corellian Trade Spine, which linked it to the Tar Morden system and the Mid Rim's Bomis Koori system. The Calonica system contained the terrestrial celestial body of the same name. The latter was the site of a Galactic Empire capital.
At one point by the time shortly after the Battle of Yavin, the Rebel Alliance stole the explosive charges from the majority of the mines buried around the Imperial capital on Calonica. Also during the Galactic Civil War, at some point between 2 BBY and 4 ABY, the Alliance prevailed over the Empire in a battle in the Calonica system.
