The Crombach Nebula was located in the Belsmuth sector of the Outer Rim and New Territories. It was situated in grid square O-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid. During the Clone Wars, fought between 22 BBY and 19 BBY, the nebula served as the site of an engagement between Galactic Republic Jedi Master Wom-Nii Gnaden, who was piloting an NTB-630 naval bomber, and a Confederacy of Independent Systems Munificent-class star frigate. During the battle at the Crombach Nebula, Master Gnaden was killed following his bomber's collision with the frigate, leaving a mark on the warship's starboard hull.
