The Far Perlemian referred to the Rimward stretch of the Perlemian Trade Route beyond the Tion Cluster and Estaria. An impoverished region, the Galactic Republic had little interest in the Far Perlemian in its final years before the Clone Wars, and slavers, pirates and Separatists often had free reign there. Folende was an agriworld in the Tion Cluster that supplied the region with food staples.
