The Kamino system was a Wild Space star system situated beyond the Outer Rim Territories and just south of the companion galaxy known as the Rishi Maze, as a result was sometime considered extragalactic. The system contained thirteen planets, including the ocean world of Kamino, home to the Kaminoan scientists who created the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic. Kamino's star was described as "aging."
