The Kurluvion system was located in the Weneen sector within the New Territories portion of the Outer Rim Territories.
In 0 BBY, a Snivvian approached the Human smuggler Han Solo in Chalmun's Cantina in the Mos Eisley settlement of the planet Tatooine, in the Outer Rim's Arkanis sector. Claiming that the inhabitants of the Kurluvion system loved consuming holographic pornography of the Hutt species, the Snivvian attempted to hire Solo's services in transporting a shipment of such material that the former needed delivered to the system overnight. Solo, however, refused the job offer, claiming the smuggling of Hutt holoporn conflicted with his integrity.
