The LFA-509 system was a star system located in the Expansion Region. It was the site of an asteroid upon which a base was operated by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. The base was later abandoned by the Confederacy and the star system left deserted. In around 19 BBY, a mission was undertaken by the military of the Galactic Republic to the system to investigate the abandoned base.
