The Magaveene system was a star system located in the Prefsbelt sector of the Outer Rim and New Territories. It was situated in grid square K-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid and contained the astronomical object Magaveene.
In 231 BBY, the Jedi Order and Galactic Republic's Republic Defense Coalition engaged Nihil pirates on Magaveene during Operation: Counterstrike—the Jedi and Republic's response to the Nihil's attack on the Republic Fair held on the Outer Rim planet Valo—led by the human Jedi marshal Avar Kriss.
At one point during the battle, a drift of Jedi Vector starfighters commanded by the Frozian Jedi Knight Nooranbakarakana were dispatched to the Magaveene system from the Republic space station Starlight Beacon in the Outer Rim's Eiram system to assist Kriss. The engagement ended in a victory for the Republic and Jedi forces.
