Mourushia system

The Mourushia system was a star system in the Barsa sector of the Mid Rim that lay in grid square J-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid. The sapient Mourushian Kelp were native to the system. During the reign of the Galactic Republic, which ended in 19 BBY, the Republic political figure Lady Hasquil acknowledged the sapient rights of the Mourushian Kelp and was cocooned for fifty years as a result.
