The Nimat system was located in the Tharin sector, a part of the Slice portion of the Outer Rim Territories. It was situated on the super-hyperroute known as the Triellus Trade Route, which connected it to the Junkfort and Tammar systems. The Nimat system shared its name with the Nimat Corridor, an Outer Rim region that included the Tharin sector's Annoo system.
